A Dreamy Coastal Wedding in South Carolina: Sam & Luke’s Unforgettable Day at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club
During a duck hunt photoshoot for Heybo at Reelfoot Lake, just outside of Union City, Tennessee, I had the chance to meet Luke. This trip, organized by my full-time agency, The Brandon Agency, included a small group of passionate outdoorsmen, including Luke and his lifelong friend, Haywood. Fun fact: Haywood’s father owns the agency, and their close bond made the experience even more memorable. This was my first real hunting adventure—aside from a childhood dove hunting trip—and despite the freezing cold, it was an unforgettable experience. I’d jump at the chance to do it again!
Not long after that trip, Luke reached out with a special request: to film his wedding with Sam. When he mentioned the wedding would take place on the breathtaking South Carolina coast, I knew this was going to be something extraordinary. After experiencing a slower wedding season following my move, I was beyond excited for this opportunity!

Sam and Luke’s wedding at the stunning Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, felt like something straight out of a storybook. Nestled among ancient oak trees draped in Spanish moss, this Lowcountry venue offered the perfect mix of elegance and Southern charm. The serene waters, lush greenery, and golden coastal light created an idyllic backdrop, making every moment feel magical.

The mastermind behind the seamless execution of this wedding was Cayce Reisman from Steele Magnolia Events. With her expertise in wedding planning and attention to every intricate detail, she ensured that Sam and Luke’s day was nothing short of perfection. Thanks to Cayce, the couple was able to relax and fully immerse themselves in their celebration without a worry in the world.
Capturing every heartfelt moment was Jeff & Molly Photography, a talented duo whose artistry truly shined. Armed with a medium format camera and a classic Leica, they preserved the day’s emotions and elegance with a unique and timeless touch. Every image from the wedding radiated the love, joy, and natural beauty that made this day so special.

Against the picturesque backdrop of Caledonia’s sprawling oaks, the couple exchanged promises, bringing tears to the eyes of many. After the ceremony, the celebration continued with a lively reception that perfectly blended elegance and fun. A fantastic live band kept the dance floor packed, while thoughtfully curated details made the evening extra special.
A major crowd favorite? The ice cream bar from Stella’s Ice Cream, a beloved South Carolina gem that added a sweet and playful touch to the evening. Just when guests thought the surprises were over, Sam and Luke delighted everyone with a late-night snack of Chick-fil-A sandwiches, a fun and unexpected way to end the night on a high note.

As the evening came to a close, it was clear that Sam and Luke’s wedding was more than just an event—it was a celebration of love, friendship, and the beautiful journey they are embarking on together.
